Trying to find Smith

DEREK SMITH (OR DEREK DAWSON) Parents, Herbert Smith and Mary (nee Snape) Derek, Born 1931. Lived and worked as a QC, likely in Stafford. Moved to Brighton. Wife was a Hollander and they were married in the Hauge. Believed to have had three boys and a girl. Derek had his mother living with them in Brighton until she passed on. His Mother, Mary, lived in a Masonic care home in Eccles and I traced her there. Unfortunately it was so long ago they had not kept any record as to what happened there after. It could possibly be that Derek changed the family surname from Smith to Dawson (which was an old family name). The family remember Derek removing her from the home but then the trail went cold. If he is still alive he will be 75 years old. I do not now the names of Derek's children, who will be in their late 40's/50's now but it is assumed the family still live in Brighton. I am searching for Derek and his family on behalf of a Canadian relation of theirs called David Smith.
