Member Since: December 2005 Posts: 10 Send Message	Edna Smith (nee Lambe) was my father's sister she died in tragic circumstances at Doncaster Yorks 1950. She was born 1909 in Barnsley where she lived for a short time with her 3 brother's they had a very sad life eventually being put in seperate children's home's in Barnsley while their father Harry Lambe was on active duty overseas. She married Herbert Harvey Smith in 1930 at Goldthorpe Yorks he was a miner they had a child Joan Thelma in 1932 I do not know for certain if they had any more children although my aunt belives there were but Joan was placed in a children's home at Balby Doncaster around 1940 what happened to her father Herbert I don't know she was still living at a house in Balby in 1947 under the care of the Matron from the home there the trail goes cold. If there is any information on Joan or descendants would like you to contact me please.
