Trying to find Smith

Does anyone have any information on my grandfather WILLIAM SMITH. He married MARY KATHLEEN BEADLE on 10th October 1908. The church was St Francis of Assisi, Pottery Lane,Kensington. It is stated that he was living at 160 Portland Road, Kensington and that he was a Flower Seller. His age shown on the certificate is 23, and his father was JOHN SMITH (Deceased) occ Butler. William and Mary had three sons, John b 1910 William b1914 Leslie b 1922. I have been trying to find his birth record for over 2 years. I have contacted St Francis of Assisi Church, they do not have a baptism record for him. I have no idea of where he was born, having checked Ancestry there are so many William Smiths' whose father was called John, I AM AT THE PROVERBIAL BRICK WALL. Can anyone help me ?????PLEASE,,,,, |
