Hello, We've been trying to find more details for John Jonathan Smith. He was born in 1823 and we think in Aylesford Kent. It's possible that it could also have been Maidstone. In 1845 he married Jane Marshall who was from Maidstone. They had two sons. One was Henry James born in Hackney and The second was John born in Maidstone. We have a copy of the baptism sheet which shows John Jonathan's parents. They were George and Sarah from Maidstone.. Their marriage certificate shows they were married in Hackney London in 1845. He was ' full age' and she was 'underage'. We think this means under 21. John Jonathan was a bricklayer which could justify moving to London for work. We have come to a complete standstill now and would appreciate any information that would help to go a little further with the tree. Thanking all in anticipation.
