Find Ancestors

im trying to search my dads family tree,with not alot of luck at the moment. i have recieved today george (MY GT GRANDAD)and sarah,s (my gt nana)marriage cert.it says their fathers were called john thorne(my gt gt grandad),a policeman, and in 1891 john was married to mary.,they had george (my gt grandad) born in 1873,and born out of wedlock,they then had Albert E born 1885,Cecil A born 1887,Lydia born 1889,and sydney born 1890,they were all born in camberwell.john smith a labourer george and sarah lived at 10 rope yard rails,woolwich,which is just off the coast,near the woolwich ferry,off the woolwich high street.sarah had a sister called maria who was a witness at the marriage. GEORGE THORN/E(my great grandad)married SARAH ANN SMITH in 1894,in woolwich. they had 3 children MARIA born woolwich dec 1894 GEORGE(my grandad) born 1897,but not known where,but we think the month is april. JOSEPH born feb 1899 in woolwich,on joseph birth cert it has 56 high street as where they all lived. in 1901 they lived in northumberland heath,which i think is kent.both GEORGE and JOSEPH were taken into the dartford workhouse in 1901,GEORGE was 4 yrs old and JOSEPH was 2.SARAH died in 1903 and my GREAT GRANDAD dissappeared after sarahs death,also we dont know where MARIA went to as she wasnt put into the workhouse. my grandad GEORGE was boarded out to a lady called REBECCA SIMS 0f ,bexley rd,belvedere kent,and there is another lady mentioned on his army papers,JANICE EAGLESTONE,of coleman rd,belvedere. my grandad joined the army in 1911 aged 14. my grandad GEORGE,he married twice HELENA MABEL HUMPHREY,they had 3 children FRANCIS ANDERSON GEORGE born jhansi india in 1920 JOHN HUMPHREY WILSON ' ' ' 1923,in jhasi india JOYCE WINSOME born brixham devon 1925 my grandad then married EVELYN GRACE RADLETT,and they had 6 children,one being my dad RICHARD,my dad was born in staines,middlesex,1940,sadly my dad died very very suddenly in nov 2005,so im finding it difficult not having my dad to ask about things. if any of this means anything to anyone,i would love to hear from you. kindest regards debbie i apologise if i have made contact with you before

Hi Deb, dont know if there might be a connection but my father is or was reginald peter smith 1936, born in staines his mother was rebecca and his dad was charles. my father has a lot of brothers and sisters. stanley,norman,eileen,sidney, Regards Zoee Smith
