I believe I have traced my mother Martha Ellen Smith who died in 1946 aged 48. She was born in Abram, Lancashire in 1898, her father was Joseph and mother Esther, and in 1901 were living with Henry, John F, and Sarah at 180 Plank Lane, Leigh, Lancs. This may be co-incidence but I lived in Plank Lane, from 1933 to 1938 when my father John William Tattum, mother Martha, brother John William moved to Middlesex. Anyone knowing about any of these names I would love to hear from you. Joseph was a coal miner hewer. He was born in St.Helens. |
