I am trying to find any details of my mothers first husband, FRANK GEORGE SMITH. I only have marriage certificate details. He and my mother, Mollie Kelly were married at St Thomas Church in Becontree, Essex on 10th October 1942. My mother was born 1920 making her 22 and he is down as 21. They lived at 97 Baron Rd, Becontree. His father is down as George Smith who was a sweeper for West Ham council. Frank is down as a foundry worker. Something happened between then and 1953 when mum married my father but I have no idea if there was a divorce or he died. So difficult with such a common name but any help would be gratefully received. |

Your mother's second marriage cert will say whether she was a widow - or not |
