Can I trace a dead relative if I only know his name and the address where he lived in Croydon during the 1950's

With a name like George Smith, I would imagine that it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack :-)

Any idea when and/or where he died?

Duncan, the message you started by posting the query is what is called a thread, as people add more and more information to it (hopefully).

To add more info, click on Reply at the top of the thread and then type in the new box. Click submit and bobs your uncle.
