Smiths at 243 Lee lane Horwich 1901

I have Smiths living at this address in 1901 as follows:-
Hannah Smith (Woods) born Crewe Cheshire 1871
Miles Smith born Ramsbottom 1873
Elizabeth born Horwich 1892
William born Horwich 1895
Harry born 1896 (my grandfather)
Richard 1839 born Liverpool (earlier census has him born Limefeild)

In 1924 when Harry married he has his address as living at 7 Owens Court Horwich. Harry married Clarice Rangeley of 44 Winter Hay Lane. Clarice died in 1926 and Harry died 1929. I would love to hear from anyone connected to this family.

Hi Sheila.
I have found several items on this family. You may have this but here goes.
You have the 1901 census I think.

Clarice married Harry 1924. Registered in Bolton. April/June Qtr. vol 8c 784.
copy of this certificate will give their ages and their Father's names and occupations also witnesses who may be siblings.

Clarice Born. 1900 July/Sept. Qtr. reg in Bolton. vol 8a 425.

Child Harry(your Grandfather I presume) born Harry J R Smith. 1926 Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Bolton. vol 8c 542.

Oddly there is another birth, which cannot be connected, but same names.
Sadie. 1927 July/Sept. Qtr.Bury. Vol 8c 651 Mother Rangeley.???????

Death 9of Clarice. Oct/Dec Qtr. aged 26. Bolton. vol 8c 338, piossibly in childbirth.

1901 census. Rangeley.
Robert. 27. 1874. Born Redditch Joiner. Living Horwich
Clara. 27. 1874 Born ???Staffield??
Clarice. 0 1900 Born Horwich.

Robert married Clara Gay. 1899 April/June Qtr. reg in Bolton. vol 8c 618

1881 Tottington.Holcombe. Lancs.
Richard Smith. 42. Born Limefield.
Ann 42. Born Limefield.
William. 22. Born Limefield
Mary J. 16. Born Limefield.
Daniel.13. Born Limefield.
Miles. 8. Born Ramsbottom.
Richard. 2. Born Ramsbottom.

Thank you for that Ethel. I had found Miles in 1881 but was confused as on 1901 census it said Liverpool born for his father Richard. Was that Daniel age 13? I had Annie age 13. Harry J.R. born 1926 was my father. Both parents had died before he was 3. I have those certificates. Thanks again there are details I did not have.
