The Family lived in the East End/Docks late 1800s-early 1900s, but may've moved there from Essex (Silvertown) & earlier from near Worcs. areas. ring any bells with anyone?

Hi Pauline. I have had a look and found the following.

Albert John Smith born 1906. April/June Qtr. reg in West Ham. London. vol 4a 98.

If you apply for a copy of this certificate give them the name of his Father Albert Edward Smith, and if this is the right one it will give you his mothers name and her maiden name. This will enable us to trace the marriage of his parents and so on down the line.

If it is the wrong one, they should not charge you. It should cost £7.from either the Registrar in West Ham. London, or the Central Registry. Southport. Ethel.
