Trying to find my Gt. Grandfather William Smith (farm servant) who gave his name to my Grandma Catherine Smith born 1880 in Fordyce. Catherine's mother was Isabella Goodall of Fordyce, Banff born 1857 and died 1882 when Catherine was 18months old. Do you have a William Smith in your tree from this time who had an illigitimate child. I have traced a likely William about the same age as Isabella born in Portsoy to William and Ann Mcphersen they had another daughter Mary. However I may be on the wrong track. Hope someone can help.
