Charles Conrad Slater born 1878

SLATER AND SOUTH AFRICA

I am trying to find any descendants of CHARLES CONRAD SLATER who was born Charles Conrad Schlueter in 1878 in NEWINGTON in LONDON. His surname was changed to drop the German. His father was German.

Charles and his brother Edward Ernest Slater went to live in South Africa in the early 1900s.

CHARLES married BEULAH BROWN. They had two sons. CHARLES (jnr) and HILTON (I think that is the name). HILTON was killed in a shooting accident and CHARLES (jnr) disappeared off the face of the earth.

Are there any South African SLATERS or SLATERS from other parts of Africa who can make this connection?
