I am seeking Skivingtons in the Plymouth and Midlands, where I know my grandfather had relatives. I was born in Blandford Dorset as my grandfather was. Other than direct family I cannot go back beyond my great grandfather again Dorset born. Any relatives out there please? Tony Skivington

Hi Tony,
I have an Edwin Skivington born in 1842 in Winterbourne Stickland, Dorset. Unfortunately the trail goes cold and I'm unable to find anything more about his family other than that he married a lass called Eliza Day from Puddledown and that they moved to north west Surrey before they had their 7 children.
