Find Ancestors

Can anyone help with any information on Edith Rosa Sinclair born 1890 and worked in Islington London as a general servant in 1914. Her father was called Charles Sinclair and he was a commercial clerk - he had already died when Edith married in 1915.She married a Walter Earnest Crisp who worked at the Royal Arsenal.

Edith had two children Doris Edith Crisp Sinclair 1914 and Charles James Sinclair 1917

I am having trouble finding Edith Rosa Sinclair in the 1891 and 1900 census and also her father Charles Sinclair.

I know she was 25 when she married in 1915 and her father had alreay died - not sure why I can't find them.

Any help greatly appreciated.

No Edith Rosa born abt that time. There is this one.

You can't find them because Charles may have died when she was very young. Also she could've been born anywhere. My grandmother married in Islington in 1910 too, but was born in Lincolnshire. She came to work in London after the 1901 census.

This is the only Edith Rosa Sinclair on all of Freebmd.

No the indexes don't show parents' full names. You have to buy the cert, but that's a long shot. I notice her marriage index is Edith R.

I did order the birth cert for Edith Rosa born 1881but her father was a William Henry so not the right one.

On the marriage cert 5.4.1915 I have for my great grandmother is says Edith Rosa Sinclair age 25 spinster father Edward Sinclair deceased and he was a commercial clerk - I hav egot really stuck tracing this back?

I have Edith Rosa on the marriage cert and Edith Rose on my grandmothers birth certificate

Have you got her death certificate as if she died after 1969 it should actually give her date of birth.

What was his wife's maiden name on the birth certificate ?
