I am trying to find information about my GtGtGt Grandmother Ann Hambling (nee She[a]rman). There is some confusion about the spelling of her surname.
Her date and year of birth is not known, only that she was born in Ilketshall St Andrew, Suffolk. Her date of birth will be in the late 1700s, possibly as late as 1780/ish. I think Ann died in East Dereham, Norfolk, as the Hambling family seems to have migrated en masse to Norfolk during the early to middle 1800s.
She married a William Hambling, born also in Ilketshall St Andrew - 1786. As far as I can find out they had only one son - Samuel who was born about 1807/10.
I am getting nowhere fast with this section of my research, so if there is anyone out there who can supply any further information as to Ann's birth and parents; I should be very grateful.
