Trying to find Scott family as follows: My father was the Reverend Harold James Scott (1905-1998), born in Birmingham. He had one sister Doris (b1899) who married Frank Goodyear. My grandfather was Samuel James Scott (1877-1948), born in Birmingham, married Annie Coates in 1898 at Christchurch, Summerfield, B'ham; he was a toolsetter. He had a sister Lily and a brother Benjamin. My greatgrandfather was Samuel James Scott (1838-1886), also married at Christchurch, Summerfield (wife's name unknown). He died after preaching at a 'cold Mission Hall' of pneumonia. The Scott family locations were Handsworth, Hockley, and the jewellery quarter of old B'ham. My father said there are at least 3 Samuel James Scott (s) in Warstone Lane Cemetery, Hockley. Alan James Scott (1934-) France. |
