My father Ernest Louis Saunders married Nadine Charlotte Julia Aeberhadt and had three children Brian, Yvonne, Michael and Nadine Patricia Saunders sometime in 1939. My parents split up in the late 1950's. Nadine Charlotte Saunders had a brother Raymond Andre Charles Aeberhardt who died in a Spitfire in 1940 in the Battle of Britain. I understand that my father had many brothers and sisters (9 or so) who were of Anglo Indian extract. The last known area in which they all lived was Chigwell Heath, London. My maternal grandmother was born in Gent, Belgium and her own parents were surnamed Saegaert and came from Roubaix (Lille) in France and Saint-Quentin-des-Isles (Normandy). The paternal grandparents came from Switzerland. I also have some cousins called Eileen Raynor ne Saegaert with a son Lawrence and daughter Mimi and Martha Saegaert with a possible connection to a Swiss national called J Kessler. These people have an unknown parent but may have been Rene Saegaert, Julia Saegaert or an unknown female Saegaert I am looking for all possible relatives but in particular I am trying to find the Saunders relatives. If anybody can provide a lead as to how I can find information on these good people, perhaps Census, Births, Deaths or Marriages and how this can be achieved from Australia then I would be most interested to hear from you. |
