Find Ancestors

Can anyone help, trying to find Sarah Chapman Ellis, she married Reuben Lucas 7/3/1917 in Lancaster Lancs. Reuben was killed in action some months later, and I cant find any records of what happened to her i.e. remarried or if she had any children? Very grateful for any info, also re. I can't find a Sarah Chapman Ellis birth.!!
Have you got the marriage cert ? If so how old was Sarah on the cert.

I dont have a marriage cert, got the record from BMD, maybe the chapman was added later on? thanks

I have her date of birth as 1890, how much older than Reuben ? He was born in 1894

If you are certain that Sarah and Reuben are the right ones for you, then you really need the marriage cert--for names, ages, fathers names etc.

The Death index I found makes Sarah born c1887 so maybe not the right death index

How do you know they married 7/3/1917 if you don't have the marriage certificate? And where did you get middle name? It's not on FreeBMD:

Got the marriage info from another GR member, and when I checked on BMD it seems to tally. another researcher seems to think Sarah was quite a bit older than Reuben, I wonder if she was married before?

It seems to be a bit of guess work here. Where did the GR member get his/her infomation from?
As mentioned you really need to purchase the marriage cert to be sure

Okay thanks for the info, I will look into this a bit further and try again later. Other info I have is they were married at Trinity Lecture Hall, Queen Street, Lancaster on 7/3/1917, but I appreciate having the marriage cert will help.

Those marriage details are on a tree on Ancestry and they say the source is the marriage certificate but they didn't post the actual certificate,
