More about the Roeszlers

Since my last post (see above) I have made contact with descendents of both William Edwin and Charles George Roeszler. One line is now in California, the other in Melbourne, Victoria.

I'm still looking for descendents of the other children of George Charles Roeszler (1810). In particular, descendents of Mary Ann who married a Richard STRACHAN in East London and Richard Ernest Roeszler who was born 1851 and disappears from London after the 1871 census.

We have collated an amazing amount of background so far, thanks to these shared connections. Our Roeszlers were from Germany - Mannheim, Stuttgart and Heilbronn are key locations. Other family names that have come up, thanks to a hand-sketched family tree from the 1850s, are RIFSBERG, HOFFMANN and SCHULER.

Please get in touch if you have Roeszler or any of the other surnames listed here in your tree and any of the info sounds promising
