My great grandmother was born in the workhouse at Downham, Norfolk about 1859. Her mother was Ann Riches, married name, who was born in Cripplesham about 1824 Her brother William was born about 1851 in Downham. Ann Riches died in the workhouse age 76 in 1898. Ann had a stroke while pregnant with Jane. Jane was raised by her mothers brother who owned a butchers shop. Jane's daughter Sarah had a stroke and died when she was 54. My sister Sandra had a stroke last year she was sixty. We have a history of high blood pressure. Alzheimers etc. Anyone out there a similar history jean |
