I am looking for descendants of my Great-uncle John REID born Abt 1838 in Stevenston Ayrshire. He married Catherine MCWALTER 29 December 1865 in Troon Ayrshire. John died on 26 August 1912. At the time of his death John was at 6 Northpark Avenue in Ayr. The informant was his son John who was living at 205 Hyde Road Woodley Cheshire. The 1881 has Catherine living with four children all born in Birmingham, England. Mary born Abt 1867, John born Abt 1869 and twins Jane and Cunningham born in 1873. The 1901 census has John Catherine and Cunningham living in the Birmingham Workhouse. Any news would be much appreciated. |
