I am searching for information about my Grandfather Albert Read.
He was born in London 1889 and I believe has at least 1 Sister. He was working in the mines in Wales before WW1 and joined the S. Wales Borderers, fighting in France and possibly Italy. Army records destroyed in WW2 so no help there! He was married to Ethel Smith and Lived in St. Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, England. They had 3 children, Eileen, Leslie (my Dad) and Albert known as Alan. He died in 1940. Can anyone out there help me with details of his family?
I now know that Alberts father was called Henry. Does that ring any bells with anyone?

Do you know if he had a middle name? When did he marry, or when was the first child born?
