SlowlyGettingThere Report 14 Mar 2009 18:12

I've found Teddy Pyrah (born c1870) in the 1871 census with the rest of the family. He is shown as being born in "Durham Brancepath"

I can see him in the 1881 census, still with the family and it shows as being born in "Durham Oakenshaw"

I cannot find him any later in any census or BMD record. I've tried name variations but have hit a wall.

Any help much appreciated!

Jacqueline

Thanks Jacqueline,

The only thing that would put me off that family is that his place of birth doesn't mention Durham? I know they often changed it though....

Thank you :-)

The place mentioned on the index is the place the census was taken I think. To find place of birth you would need to view the actual records.

SlowlyGettingThere Report 14 Mar 2009 20:13

I suppose anything is possible - he would be the first in my entire family to do so if he did.

I have to nip out now but I'll be back soon

Thank you
