I know he had a sister called Jane Proud born about 1879 and his mother was called Jane Proud Not sure if the mother jane was married when she had her children . I do know the mother Married John Mcnestry in 1887 in County durham

yes that is Jane she was Jane Hanna and yes she did have a daughter called Tamar.I think she was born in 1887.I have Tamars b/cert but it didnt have a fathers name on it.Thats why I thought if I concentrated on her brother Joseph proud I might have come up with a father for them
