Trying to find infomation on Nora, Louise and Rita Potts who all came from Chibburn nr. Druridge Bay, Northumberland and born in 1920/25's. Nora married a man called Tait from Swarland i am told, Louise lost a hand in an accident at school and later died in a road traffic accident on the A1 near Newton on the Moor and Rita married and lived in the Wooler area. If anyone out there has any info i would love them to get in touch.

Could this be the Mr. Potts I knew who lived in Swarland Northumberland where I was born and lived until I married? His life was his horses He used to break them in and train them. He was very well known and respected in Swarland, He had lost a hand The story I heard was he lost his hand when a gun he was cleaning went off accidently when he was young, His was known as Louie in the village . He lived with his elderly Mother until she passed away and never married as far as I know, I remember he was always very pleasant and having a nice kind smile.
I do not recall how he passed away as I have moved away from the north east now. but I did know Nora, She settled in Swarland, and had 2 daughters which she brought up on her own after she lost her husband when her youngest child was very young, she never remarried. I remember Nora was a Quiet and pleasant person. although I don't remember seeing her walking around the village.
I can give you a little more information on the 2 girls and the road names where they live if you wish to know.
I hope this helps

Shirley, you might not have noticed that this was posted 7 years ago. If you run your cursor over the 'silhouette' by his name, you will see Michael never posted anything else.
It's highly unlikely he will see your reply. You could try sending a message to him (click on his name) but he will only be notified if Genes have his current email address.
