Where is everybody?

SylviaInCanada Report 22 May 2010 22:52

Here I is!!

went out today for the first time since Wednesday, when I did my hamstring in again

Finally felt able to tackle steps, and hard chairs!

Only went for coffee, and OH took me for a quick trip to the shop at Ikea ...... it's accessed directly from the car park, and I needed to replenish my supply of Elderflower and Lingonberry drinks!

Glad you're back. Know of loganberries but not the ones you mention. Are they some exotic types?

Sorry to hear about the hamstring. Hope you're much better soon.

I'll have to Google ligonberry.

Dozey Report 23 May 2010 16:19

You can buy lingonberry sauce, sold as cranberry sauce, at LIDL supermarkets. Don't just eat it with meat, try it with brie for a tasty sandwich or toastie.

Hi

I thought lingonberry was a Scandinavian berry. I've had it as a sauce (rather tart), and as a concentrate for a drink.

But like you, I have just googled it ................... and it is the Scandinavian name for what we call Cranberry in North America.

It's the same plant, just different names for the berries

Yes I saw that Sylvia. Just thought the tip on what to do with it quite unusual.

Wonder why anyone would call it a "fox berry".

Off for some shut eye now. Enjoy your - afternoon?

Well glad you are awake now Sylvia!

Please tell me how to add. Noticed a lot of the time on these threads the old hands seem to have an Add at the bottom of their comments. So I just tried it and wrote quite a little spiel but it hasn't appeared.
I'm exhausted and going to put feet up for an hour in front of telly. Be back in later before late night dog walk and bed.

Jeanie:-))

Dozey

Dozey Report 25 May 2010 19:57

Oh! Does it come direct to you or something?

I'm mystified.

Hi Jeanie

The Add button at the bottom of all postings is supposed to add a reply to the thread, it doesn't come to me or any other poster directly.

BUT, that button didn't work for so many years that most of us have got accustomed to using the Reply box at the top, just under the thread title.

I think I've used the Add just a couple of times in the last 6 months, it seemed to work OK then, but I don't really like it.

My "sorry 'bout that" was in response to a posting of yours that I saw that just said Well

I thought you were referring to the fact that I didn't have any money to give you a salary raise!
