not sure I know him that well ......... more as passing ships on this thread

Dozey Report 12 May 2010 23:51

Well, if he doesn't appear soon I'll do it. No harm in telling him we've noticed his absence is there?

Perhaps he's flown away somewhere and got stuck under an ash cloud!

Middy Report 13 May 2010 11:39

Can I just say a really big thank you for all the help everyone has given me over the past 8 or so months, I often see the same people helping and it is quite nice as you get to feel that you know them because you recognise their names.

I have to say that I post a question and then sit there glued to the computer as I can't wait to get replys - I get really excited which is probably quite sad, lol!!!

But a big thanks again - you do really help those especially me who is relatively new to this - even to just post to get some help or an idea or to point you in the right direction is such a great help.

Thanks xx

Dozey Report 13 May 2010 15:20

Nice to see you back Michael (or Mike). Thanks to Middy. Comments like yours do a lot for the morale of all those trying to help I'm sure.

I know there is not always someone waiting to deal with the posts quickly but you can edit your original and say you've waited and you will look later or tomorrow or whatever, so folk will know.

I've been told never be afraid to ask for advice. I was a real novice ninny to begin with but as time went on I found some real 'friends'.

Happy hunting

SylviaInCanada Report 13 May 2010 19:28

Thank you very much for saying that!

Michael .... nice to see you back.

Just watch yourself among those Celts. (I can say that 'cos OH is half-Welsh, and was actually born in N Wales)

Hi Jeanie ... you're quite right. No-one should ever be afraid to ask questions. Some of us may get tetchy at times, but we're pretty nice underneath!

OH has just gone to the airport, he's going to a strange land ............ the next province Alberta!

Dozey Report 13 May 2010 23:01

It's good news week!!

Agree with you - some lovely people on the boards even if one or two consider themselves grumpy.

Dozey Report 14 May 2010 10:47

Heave ho

Dozey Report 14 May 2010 16:12

Keeping the seat warm for Michael

SylviaInCanada Report 14 May 2010 18:50

it's a lovely sunny day here, going to get to about 20C

Dozey Report 14 May 2010 23:44

Don't rub it in. Been lovely and sunny but that dang icy blast keeps us shivering.

SylviaInCanada Report 15 May 2010 02:44

so, I shouldn't say what a lovely early summer evening it is???????

Dozey Report 15 May 2010 07:56

Apart from the lovely colours around hardly feels like Spring - although must say does seem just a trifle warmer this morning. Suppose your summers must make up for your extremely cold winters.

Dozey Report 15 May 2010 20:04

A quick shove up.

Dozey Report 15 May 2010 22:47

Still keeping the thread warm for Michael.
