Still waiting for rain.

Watering cans it is now.

Tomatoes, strawberries, runner beans, onions, carrots and gooseberries - all on a little patio!

Well Sod's Law ... it's raining here now !

Dozey Report 8 Jul 2010 22:50

I've got one cucumber and one tomato plant in pots and two clematis in pots which are the only ones I'm watering daily. The rest will just have to do their best to survive. Thinking of buying desert loving plants in the future.

Not sure my grass will green up. Think Topper's been too busy out there:-)))

we don't water our grass, and OH waters veggies and fruits by hand, using a watering can

That's been our way of life for 15 or more years.

We've had watering bans from May 1 to October 1 all that time

OK so grass goes yellow ........................... but it stops growing, so you don't have to mow it

and it greens right up with the first decent rain.

Oh I won't feel guilty ..........
We pay enough water rates don't you think ?

I'll feel as guilty as the bosses who are creaming off their fat bonuses.

Well! You could have nipped over and powerwashed my patio too Michael..........not looking forward to the hosepipe ban and will feel guilty at every bit of water I use!

Mike * Report 8 Jul 2010 20:12

Oh wonderful !!!
If you call power-washing the patio fun !

Had to get it done before the hosepipe ban comes into force tomorrow though.

Dozey

Dozey Report 7 Jul 2010 13:38

Thanks Cynthia. I did realise that - only acknowledging that she pushed it up:-)))

Haven't heard any thunder down here yet. Would welcome some rain but not thunder. Scares the animals.

Thought you were due for some of the wet stuff but sis hasn't mentioned she's had any lately.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 7 Jul 2010 09:14

Sorry, no, must be thunder coming in!
