Certainly going to do that today Michael. Sitting down for that length of time not good for me. Feet definitely UP today.

Tired - it's been a long day.

Thanks for answering my plea Cathy. Had a really great time. Weather was fine - a little blowy around the Spinnaker Tower but still warm. Hardly ever drink coffee but had a couple of cappuchinos and chatted away for about two and a half hours and exchanged info and family photos with newly found rellies.

The reservoirs are not the only things filling up... I could sail a boat on my lawn !

Dozey Report 20 Jul 2010 23:10

No rain here Michael. Be thankful the reservoirs are filling up. Hose ban might be lifted for Cynthia.

Well, Michael. I did suspect some of that but a little surprised at the Ready Steady Cook one. I hate waste - part of living through war time I suppose. We are not all as green as cabbage looking and always thought these "ad libs" were too good to be true. Still enjoy a lot of dramas and Corrie - which is the only soap I watch because you get some humour in it.

Going to watch Heir Hunters while I finish my ironing this morning. Great one yesterday - solved their most difficult case ever.

Not into TV to be honest.. maybe I'll watch it once a week if that.. but I have recorded WDYTYA which I'll no doubt watch at some point (when there's no drying paint to watch).
I fell out with TV years ago when

a) a daughter of a friend of mine was a contestant on Ready Steady Cook. She had taken ingredients in but they were thrown away as she was GIVEN her bag of food to produce and told how much it supposedly cost.
Every so often the producer would shout "Cut" and filming stopped while they prepared or rectified something. What you think takes 20 minutes to prepare took 3 and a half hours!

b) I was asked to do some pretend bidding on one of those auction programmes.
The whole thing is shot before the auction begins and editting in afterwards.
A certain tanned presenter estimates things to camera AFTER the item has been sold, so it's no wonder his valuation is virtually spot on !

and c) did you know that they rehearse A Question of Sport. !! They may look like adlibs but they're all carefully orchestrated.

Having family and friends in the acting business has opened my eyes I can tell you.

Yes - wouldn't miss it. Followed up by WDYTYA. Very interesting.
