I'm trying to find info. on William Peters who may have been born around 1808. He was commissioned by the London Museum to travel to Australia, and collect and preserve animal and bird specimens to be shipped back to Eng. We think that he migrated to Aus. in 1865, and know that he settled at Corinella, South Gippsland, Victoria, Aus. He married a Ann Hanlon 1830-1908. Looking for anyone who has any info on William and family back in Eng. (we think Durham) Regards Rosie.
