just read the stuff on one name. although my surname isn't pepperdine my great great grandmothers name was pepperdine and her family are from billinghay and algakirk in lincolnshire. if the details i have are correct i have got back to an estimated 1535. the most definite is in around 1600 in billinghay. how rare was the surname then? plus i cant get enough info on occupations apart from agricultural labourers. any suggestions on where i go from here?
