Hi, I know you posted your message a long time ago, but thought there may be some connection with my "Orr" family. My gt. gt. gt. grandfather Robert Orr was born in Kilmarnock in c1827, he was murdered in Paisly in 1858, because of his tragic end his death cert. is a bit odd! and has no parents names on it so I am having trouble tracing them, but 2 of his children are called Margaret and James so thought there might be a connection with your Orr, long shot I know!! but thought I'd ask!!

Kindest regards
Christine
