Brian Patterson was born I belive in Bury Lancashire and his mother ( who I know all about) Winfred Gwendoline Blair Patterson I am not sure when and what year he was born but he died in London 1996/1997 ?

I do not have much more information apart from he was my dad's half brother ( same mother) hope someone may shed a bit of light I also belive he was in the war maybe 2nd world war I think he died of leukima many kind regards Andy

hi I am not sure as his mother maiden name was also patterson ?? and I thought he was born in Bury Lancashire I wonder if it is the same 1 hang on I ring my dad to see if he knows were in London he died..

This one would have been too young to be in WW2 as a member of the forces

Yeh this is a mystery I know he took my grandmothers name (Patterson) but maybe he was born with a different surname)

WELL my name used to appear in my maiden name and i wanted to hide that as Genes is an open forum and anything posted on it will come up on Google
I asked on genes and was told how to change it in my account .several attempts didnt work til finally i sussed how it worked so and thought Heh I am getting the hang of it now so my final attempt was "Shirley I,m getting the hang of it" and thats how its stayed as my board name.
I enjoy do lookups as my own trees are now way back pre 1837 as i have current subs i will help fellow searchers

Hi everryone regarding Brian Patterson yes this the correct 1 having spoken to my dad he remembers him now having a middle name of William and the date of birth and death matches ;--)

The only problem we have is why did he Brian mother have a maiden name of (ROE) as Winifred Gwendoline Blair Patterson never married !!!

Also speaking to my dad he thinks Brian father was someone who had great responbility or was high up and could of been in the church etc
It is a mystery as we do not know Brian's dad and my dad is convinced Brian is his mother's child (Winifred Patterson) I wonder could the father of been (ROE) and to save problems or embarrisment they put him down as the mother maiden name ????
