Mary is this supposed to be with your other query for Henry & Phoebe Cairns?

If so don't start a new subject each time. Just go to your original thread (message) and click on the purple reply button to add a new post.

Could you give approximate dates of birth for Thomas, Ian and John?
Do you know if Thomas Muir married Patricia in Manchester, and when, roughly, that was?
Any idea of Patricia's maiden name?
Thanks

Mary

There is an Ian A Muir in 1957 and Ian C Muir in 1960.
If neither of these, then registered elsewhere.

Ian born in 1957 had a mother's maiden name of Hardcastle, which was probably from a marriage of a William to an Alice.

Have you done searches on here, and asked for electoral register searches on records office board, as Ian M Muir restricts your choices (anything is better than Smith)?
