Trying to find ANY info on the following Morris family: William Morris who married Eliza Moses in Wigton(?) Cumberland area c1911.They had a son-William Morris & AT LEAST two daughters-Ethel & Doris.Ethel was born in Maryport,Cumberland,in 1918,later moving to Millom,Cumberland & then Barrow-in-Furness,Cumbria.She had a son,also called William,who was born in Whitehaven,Cumberland.He married a lady named Margaret & they had sons(maybe twins)-William & Derek.This William married a lady called Irene & moved to the Beverley/Hull district.His father,William is buried in Whitehaven cemetery.I also believe his grandmother-Eliza is buried near there,possibly at Harrington.She was,apparently a centurion,born c1889 in Wigton area,so must of died c1990.ANY MORRIS/MOSES/MORSBY gratefully appreciated.I do know there are STILL Morris family in Whitehaven & Millom-some even in Hull/Beverley areas who COULD be related.If you are-please get in touch.Many thanks,Paul. |
