I wonder if someone could find a death for me in Scotland please, I have searched Scotlands people but can't find her after 1901.
Janet Moore married Allan Stevenson in 1901 but they are not together on the census,he with his grandmother and she with her mother under her married name .
Allan died 1922 in glasgow but on his death certificate it says he is the widower of ...... no name given,
any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jean,
Could only find 2 possible deaths.

JANET MOORE (soundex on)
Other Surnames STEVENSON
DIED 1904 PAISLEY RENFREW
AGED 60

JANET MOORE (soundex on)
Other Surnames STEVENSON
DIED 1910 AYR
AGED 70

Both coming up as MUIR
These death dates would only make Janet born in either 1844 or 1840

Are you positive of Janet's birth year Jean?

Kind Regards
Kath

Hi Kath,
thank you for replying, yes I am certain of her d.o.b. her parents are Henry and Margaret nee stewart, she is my gr.aunt .
Story is she went to canada but not with her husband Allan Stevenson , but cannot find her on the passenger list to Canada or the 1911 canadian census, don't know where to look next,
Thanks anyway,
jean

I can't find a death for her either and I've looked for every permutation/mis-spelling I can think of.....oh why can't we have the 1911 census like they do in England....lol
