I have located a Robert Monk (50 - 1851) and his wife Elizabeth Monk (48 - 1853) (Not sure of maiden name) living at the workhouse yard, Watton at stone, herts. This gives me John's family My Grandfather. (As per 1901 census) I am would there gt, granddaughter. Thank you Justine. UPDATE I HAVE NOW GONE BACK PRE 1800'S WITH HELP FROM SANDRA AND DAVID . NOW LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON JOHN MONK AND ELIZABETH DORRINGTON WHO MARRIED 18 10 1802. IN WATTON AT STONE WHERE I THINK ALL MY RELATIONS OF THE MONKS COME FROM. |
