Trying to find McPherson-Fraser

I am trying to find out any information on my paternal great-grandparents, details below: James (middle name possibly Ernest) TOMLINSON (possible birth details Mansfield, Notts, 1880), married to Winifred MacPherson FRASER (or McPherson Fraser / Macpherson-Fraser / Mcpherson-Fraser etc) (possibly born in India 1880). They may have been married in Nainital, India 1901. Winifred had at least two sisters - Helen and Elsie, Helen was also born in India, not sure about Elsie. Winifred's father may have been John Fraser, a brewer and his father was Scottish and mother was Indian. Allegedly all family-related records were destroyed in a fire at one of the India record offices. James & Winifred had 4 children - Frederick born 1909 in India, James, Jack & Gertrude. The information above has been gathered from several sources, some unconfirmed, so I am very interested to hear of any further information, however tenuous! thanks Julie Tomlinson |
