Hi

I have been trying to locate any information on an Isabella/Isabell Boyd circa 1860 that has popped up on my tree.

She would have married an Arthur McNeill and they had eight children namely Thomas, Rachel, James, Robert, Elizabeth, Arthur, Isabella and Hill.

I have reached a stumbling block with this person so anybody who can be of any help I would love to hear from you. I have got quite a lot of information on her children (Thomas McNeill is my great grandfather)

thank you for your replies.

I know for sure that Arthur Boyd is from Northern Ireland. Isabella I am not sure 100% of.

I know for a fact that she did marry Arthur McNeill and I actually have a photograph of them together.

1883 does sound about right for their marriage as their first child was born in 1885 (Thomas McNeil)

Can I ask where you got the information from and is it easily accessable?

The location of where they live varies. I think that they did at one stage live in Belfast - Shetland Street of the top of my head, but then I have either a birth/marriage certificate saying that members of the family lived in Bushmills.

I have the information at home and I am using my work computer though so I cant say exactly which members of her family lived at one stage in Bushmills or Belfast.

As far as I am aware the family stayed in Ireland (North).

Most of their children moved in and around Larne/Ballyclare area where the decendants still live -especially relations of James and Thomas.

I have to go back to work now unfortunately but I will confirm information once I get home from work.

I have checked through the few certificates that I have and the only one that mentions Isabella name is the birth certificate of Thomas McNeill and it is registered in the district of Bushmills, Coleraine.

The address that the family lived at for a time is29 Sherwood Street, Belfast.

I unfortunatley have no other information on Isabella.
