There is some kind of discrepancy on freeBMD and I cannot find the marriage partner for the following

Ellen McMullen marriage Sunderland December 1908.

I cannot find her husband, has someone got other records that can be accessed please?

Is there some 100 year restriction of this information.

If I can access my own marriage, many years later, what would be the restriction of this?

There is no restriction..Its just that the page Number that Ellen is on is hard to read on the index and freebmd cant match up a possible spouse for her.
And the spouses surname was not added to indexs until 1912,as it says

Do you have a birth year for your Ellen please?

As FBG says the original index is very difficult to read. The volume number is clearly 10a but the page number is almost impossible - it looks like 142 something!

Scuse me for being so dense, but does that she married him in 1908 and by 1911 he too, was dead?

What was this lady doing.

I presume he too was a miner, so the death rate was pretty high.

Something that may be of interest to you......Next door to the Mcmullen's in the 1901 Census is the Arnott family who have a visitor.........Joseph Mcmullen, single age 21. A Coal Miner born 1880 Sunderland Durham.
