Please excuse me if i have ask this before as cant remember,i have
Henry McLaughlin maried to Bridget dosnt give her maiden name in 1834 Brompton Kent,but cant find the marriage,i wanted to find out Bridgets last name so i looked for the birth of her last two children who were born in Brompton Kent so i could get birth cert for one of them ,but i cant find either only
Ann McLaughlin was born in 1847 and her brother Henry was born in 1849 can anyone help please thank you

Until 1875, there were no penalties for not registering births, so the odds are that Ann's and Henry's simply weren't registered

Your statement that the marriage was in Brompton is - presumably - based on the 'submitted' record on the IGI, which also, incidentally, shows the marriage to have been in Ireland.

The submitter obviously didn't have a clue!

As Henry snr was a serving soldier, there may be some info about the births of the children on the FMP site.

You would have to purchase units to find out

Had alook at the site but could,nt find Henrys birth,but have just got marriage cert of his sister Mary she was only 16 when she married also into Army and her sister Ann was only 17 when she married also into Army,will try and have alook at the other site you mention Flick
