Hi Olga,
I used to think Mckiernan was fairly unusual but I'm finding its not! Edward Kiernan (1843-95) from Westmeath, Ireland came and settled in Salford where his son, Edward (1870-1921) added the Mc, in turn he had 3 sons, James, Edward,John - all born in Salford. John was my grandfather. I know next to nothing about any of them except date of birth. If any of these are related, or if any other reader knows anything, please reply.

Thanks

John
