Looking for anyone who has any info about Charles McGrady, b.1889 in Barrow-in-Furness. He was my great-grandfather. He married Mary Hunter from York, and he died in 1918. In the 1901 census there is a Charles McGrady, living in the same house as, amongst others, a James McGrady, who I have assumed may have been his brother, and a Joseph McGrady from Ireland, who I have assumed was his father. I was always told that his family came from Ireland, but I don't know whereabouts. I also don't know why there is no mention of his mother in the 1901 census. I do know that she outlived him. |
