I'm trying to find out what happened to my Uncles Frederick (born 1916 died around 2001) and Kenneth (born 1921) McCafferty.
I think Frederick emigrated to Australia, but I don't remember my mum talking about him, apart from his name. I remember my mum telling me that Kenneth was on the mine sweepers during the war. I have never met or had contact with either uncle.

Frederick and mum's older sister Elizabeth (Bessie) were born in Newcastle upon Tyne, my mum Annie Marie and Kenneth were born in Grimsby. Their parents were James McCafferty born in Scotland and Annie Nichols (not sure about her details).

I know it's a long shot as my mum was 39 when I was born & the family were split up when the family were young. I only met Bessie, her husband Stan King & children Madeline & Roger. Bessie died in 1960.
