Trying to find any information on George Mcarthur (c1879) and Elizabeth Mcarthur nee Mckinnie (c1879). They lived in Plean would like to know about their parents and siblings and where they were born. Grateful for any information. |

Scottish birth certs do usually give the date of the parents marriage although not always correct |

This may be the George that was married in Airdrie. But as has been said previously you need to go to http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.co.uk and get John's birth certificate to find the date and place of his parents' marriage. (Assuming you don't already have his birth certificate or you would already know the marriage details) Credits are £6 for 30 - 1 credit to view search results and 5 to view certificate. This can be done online. When you get the certificate post the details by clicking the purple reply button and entering the details in the dropped down text box, then click the submit button. If you do this then it may be possible to identify George and Elizabeth with their families on earlier census records. |

I think the census returns "rootgatherer" gave for Elizabeth are probably correct. |
