Searched Find My Past and found my James Masson b1896
Dunnottar,Kincardine,Aberdeenshire in Army records but need
to buy credits to view. Is there some other way of getting info
without buying credits am spending enough on Scotlands

This matches with the CWGC one found, but father's name wrong.

Not sure if this is the correct death as parents of this J. Masson were John and Ann, not William and Annie, and date of birth would be 1892 and not 1896, so......................?

have been 19yrs old then but as you know loads
of families with same names and related in some

but my son and his family just back from Egypt

You can buy an image of the d.rego thru ScotlandsPeople - the WW1 deaths are classed as minor records - see:
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/content/help/index.aspx?r=554&404

You can also see an example near foot of web page of a WW1 d.rego page. As you'll see, there's not much info there, but it'll only cost abt a pound in credits.

Catherine thanks again for all your work and
time am up to my neck in Massons and am
not sure if what you have found is my James
or not but am still checking my research and
have found another James Masson different
parents again. So onwards yet again.
