seeking any info on the marriage of Thomas Patrick ROGAN to Patricia Jacqueline MASSIE. Patricia was born 1928 (in Ireland - we think), her father was John Massie, an Auditor. They would have been married between 1944 & 1947. They were in Liverpool (Kirkdale area) in 1947. In 47 Thomas was a Hydraulic Fitter.
Information on where either of these people were from, or where they may have married greatly appreciated. Patricia is/was my Grandmother.
Thanks,
Clare.

I'm still, after all this time, stuck on this part of my tree.

It's almost as if Patricia and Thomas didn't exist before this period or after! It's very frustrating. Because if I'm able to get some details on their marriage it might give me clues to get further back.

I've not been able to find anything definite on births of either party or any likely death records.

I do however have the birth cert of a daughter they had in 1947 born in Liverpool but who was adopted and who was taken to the USA - perhaps this helps anyone?
They divorced in the years following probably becoming final around 1951 and Patricia married my grandfather, a welshman Raymond George Evans - they were living in Rugby, Warwickshire at his point.

By 1958 Patricia had left the family home and went to London (or so some of the family think) but no one is sure.

Everyone in the family says Patricia was Irish - so she must have arrived into Liverpool - does anyone know if there's any way to find out when?

She's too young to be on the census.

Perhaps someone has Thomas Patrick Rogan in their family tree - he was a hydraulic fitter at Rover in 1947 living in Liverpool.

Or Maybe Patrica crops up using the name Patrick Jacqueline EVANS before a remarriage (she used her previous married name on the cert with my grandfather)?

It's almost impossible trying to get anywhere in Ireland without a vague idea of where someone is born because the records are by county/parish and at the moment only the 1911 census is online - too early...

Thanks!
Clare.

I've checked the Irish Civil marriages on Ancestry

No entry for the names you give

Nor is there a birth reg'n for Patricia on the site.

But the records are by no means complete..............

But, were they from Southern Ireland......or Ulster?

Using the name Rogan when she married Evans is normal procedure
