Your post is very difficult to understand.

Was your grandad's dad called sirral or do you mean Cyril? Do you have your grandad's birth certificate and if so, is there a father named on it?

I'm not sure how you can check the death indexes if you don't know his surname :-)

Is he named on your grandad's birth certificate or not?

Christine,

Could your grandad's sisters have had their father's name at Birth?

Hi everyone. I am looking for people with the name Zugg and Bettridge in England. I am finding it extremely difficult. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Sam

Sam Report 25 Feb 2008 21:05

Amanda, you would be better off starting a new thread. Give as much information as you have, christian names, dates of birth, areas etc.

Christine, I'm sorry but I don't see how can have a hope of finding Cyril if you don't know his surname and he is not named on any of the children's birth certificate. I'll assume you have your grandad's BC and that Cyril isn't named as the father.

Christine,

Have you actually checked the birth enteries for your grandfather and his sisters as sometimes the surname is incorporated into the first name. For example John S Marsden for instance could be John Smith Marsden indicating that the father could well have been called Smith.

Sometimes, the births are registered twice in the name she had and in the name of the other fellow.

If you gave one of us something to go on we could check for you. If the people are not deceased please send a private message
