As Rose said for bmd for Scotland you need to open an account with Scotlands people. It's free to join and to search but to view any possible records you need to buy credits. Can't remember how much it costs but it's certainly cheaper than a plane ticket.

It is amazing that you have been able to give me so much information in just a few days.

It is very difficult living in New Zealand with no relatives to ask my parents were the only ones in their families brave enough to leave the UK and sadly no longer with us.

On the LDS web site most of the records are Extracted Records so they have been taken from the official records and so you can have confidence in the info given.
Members who have done research into their family tree can submit their findings for others to see and use if they wish, as was the info I posted. However, these records are not verified by the site and so should be taken with caution as you can never be sure where the member has found the info he has submitted. It could be that they have obtained copies of official parish records but you can not be 100% sure and you should therefore try and obtain copies of the parish records yourself. This can be quite difficult and often means having to go to the parish in question and looking for yourself.
Some parishes have grouped their records and are now stored at Registry Offices or Town Halls etc. and some have history groups which will look for you, for a fee, but not all. I believe most of Scotlands records are held at the National Archives in Edinburgh. You can search on internet for the parishes that you are interested in and see if they propose anything.
Some sites like ancestry have a certain number of parish records too, and there are certain members of Genes who have access to records from certain parishes so always worth while putting out an appeal for help on this site.
First place to look though, is Scotlands People!!

Many thanks for advising me that the name Henrietta is often listed as Eric it seams strange to me but then strange things do happen to names especially with todays modern names and you are unsure if it is male or female .

Thanks once again every little piece of information no matter how small is an extra piece of the jig saw I'm new to genealogy and are really enjoying it and very grateful to all the people who have helped me and given advise.
