My great grandfather Michael James Gara born 1870 in Roscommon/Mayo county near Ballaghaderreen. We have been unable to identify his Irish family or precise birth location. Michael had brothers Thomas who lived in Ireland and Patrick who lived in Warrington or Manchester. He emigrated to Northwich Cheshire and married Mary Ellen Hilton. My 84 year old mother in Canada would love to identify and visit her Irish heritage site. Any hints on finding Irish heritage. |
